Sue Nordstrom BA,MA

Specializes in:

  • Health Care Management
  • Case Management
  • Team Building
  • Healthcare Quality & Safety

Sue is a Licensed Practical Nurse who went forward to receiving her BA and MA in Health Services Management. Over the past 3.5 decades, her career has taken her down several paths leading to her passion for Care Management while ensuring that individuals get the services they need and deserve.

As a nurse, Sue worked in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room, Medical/Surgical nursing, and Plasmapheresis. She was also a reviewer for Missouri Patient Care Review Foundation, which audited charts of Medicare recipients determining appropriate level of care, quality of care, and appropriate billing to the Medicare program. Working for this organization helped her see care disparities, ultimately leading her on her Care Management journey.

Sue has spent the past two decades working as the Director or Case Management, Utilization Management for large hospital systems overseeing several hospitals including a Swing Bed facility in Rural Illinois. During COVID, she worked with several physicians and the Ethics Committees to develop a policy to ensure appropriate use of limited resources.

While not working, Sue enjoys spending time with family, friends, golf and volunteering at the food pantry.
