Meet Our Care Managers
Mary McKay, RN, BA, MA
Over the past 2.5 decades, the fundamental nature of my Care Management practice has consisted of giving others joy, dignity, and illumination. I have great satisfaction with the history of positive outcomes regarding my ability to listen to a person, to help bring out in another person his or her unique value and to help each party capitalize on both their past & the present.I have accomplished this with a combined professional experience including both traditional social work application and nursing skills.
I received Bachelors in Arts in Sociology from Saint Louis University, a Masters in Art in Health Facilities Management from Webster University, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Maryville University. I offer persons who I assist core assets of fairness, reliability, trustworthiness, accountability and tenaciousness.
My professional experience with Care Management, beyond the older adult, covers a variety of persons and varying ages with unique problems; the range covers multiple physical and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, it includes disease modalities: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Dementia. Multidimensional Client advocacy and support are part of my professional successes; cooperative and collaborative teamwork also plays a huge role in successful Client outcomes.
Currently, I am an R.N. Independent Contractor with the focus in Care Management. I have a strong belief there is much to gain in the practice of Care Management. For me, I both know and believe that each one of us will be old one day. It stands to reason that we each should want to learn and model tenderness, dignity, and caring for this is what we too will desire when our time comes.
