Meet Our Care Managers
Kelly Kocs, RN, BSN, MSG
Kelly Kocs has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She has a Master’s in Gerontology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Kelly started her career as a Nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. She became a Patient Care Manager at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Missouri where she applied her passion for patient care to ensure the appropriate level of care for patients by promoting discharge planning, conducting provider and patient education on cost management, and education and development of alternative plans of care.
Kelly has become an advocate for the elderly where her devotion and compassion benefit the challenges that aging presents to individuals and their families. As a care manager, she supports older adults in maintaining their independence. She has developed resource guides and leveraged government programs and guidelines to develop advanced personal care plans. Kelly works to provide level of care recommendations for clients receiving home and community based services. In addition, she provides health care education and screenings in senior living communities. She has facilitated an Alzheimer’s Support Group for caregivers as well as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Workshops for those experiencing memory loss. She is utilizing her skills and expertise in training private duty caregivers. Kelly also enjoys working with clients and their families assisting them in completing the necessary paperwork Medicaid/MO HealthNet.
Kelly is a member of the Aging Life Care Association and the St. Charles Senior Resource Team. In addition, she serves as the Vice President of Social Workers in Long Term Care and as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the Senior Services Task Force of St. Charles County. She has worked as a Medicare CLAIM Counselor, an InterRAI evaluator, and as a Missouri Property Tax Credit Preparer. Kelly volunteers her time to the St. Louis County Older Resident Programs (CORP), Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, Apostolic Works Ministry and Incarnate Word Academy.
